When it comes to promoting Clickbank products as an affiliate, the first thing that you have to look at before deciding whether or not to promote is the products’ statistics.

For each of the products listed in Clickbank’s marketplace, it comes with several statistics about the product, along with a brief description of it, as well as the category in which the product was listed.

The following is an example of a typical listing found in Clickbank’s marketplace:

What you will discover in the rest of the post are explanations on what each and every statistic that you see for each product in the Clickbank marketplace mean:

Avg $/Sale – This specifies how much you can expect to earn (on average) for every sale you refer.

Initial $/Sale – This refers to how much you will get paid whenever someone whom you refers purchases the product.

Avg %/Sale – This percentage value denotes the amount (in percentage) that the merchant has offered to you, as an affiliate, for every single sale you refer (Generally, this figure hoovers around 50% to 75%).

Avg Rebill Total – This column will only appear if customers are required to pay a recurring payment (meaning they will have to make payment either monthly, bimonthly, or annually, to stay subscribed and be able to have continued access to the features available in the product). The amount that is stated in this column is an estimated amount that you will receive per customer (you will get paid as well whenever someone whom you referred makes a recurring payment).

Avg %/Rebill – Similar to Avg Rebill Total, this column will only appear if the product/service requires customers to make a recurring payment. The percentage stated here is the amount (in percentage) of the recurring payment you will receive (as commissions).

Grav – This number here denotes the number of unique affiliates who have successfully promoted (and sold) the product over an 8-week period.

Cat – The category in which this product is listed in.

Facebook Like Button – This button is just recently introduced by Clickbank where, if you are logged in and you hit the “Like” button, it will post the product onto your Facebook wall (along with your affiliate link) – So, whenever someone clicks on that link and purchases the product, you will get paid.

I hope that, with this post, you now have a better understanding of what each and every statistic that comes together with every Clickbank product in the marketplace mean.

One of the easiest way for you to be able to generate huge amounts of cash online without selling anything to anyone is to create a blog, and have ads on it (in particular, Google Adsense ads).

What will happen here is that, whenever someone clicks on the ads that you have on your website, you will get paid. It is as simple as that.

In this post, I am going to show you step-by-step how you can create your very own blog that will generate massive amounts of cash from Google Adsense.

There are a total of 6 simple steps, and I am going to show you what each of these steps are in this section:

Step #1. Choose A “On-Demand” Topic

In order for your blog to be able to get massive amounts of traffic, the topic in which you base your blog on must be something that has a demand.

One simple way to determine whether or not the topic you have chosen has demand is that, after you have defined a topic in which you would like to base your blog on, check out whether or not there are books/magazines published on that particular topic (You can either head down to a local bookstore to check this out or visit Amazon’s website).

If there are many books/magazines on that topic, you can be sure that there is a demand for it.

Step #2. Create A Blog

After you have decided on the topic in which you would like to base your blog on, you need to create a blog.

You have the choice of getting a free blog from free blog providers such as Blogger, or Wordpress, or you can have a self-hosted blog (where you need to get a domain name, as well as hosting). In case you are wondering what are the differences between a free blog, as well as a self-hosted blog, you can check out a post that I have previously written titled “Free Blog vs Paid Blog – Which One Should You Opt For?”

When it comes to choosing your blog’s address, make sure you choose something that, on one look, your prospective visitors will be able to tell what it is about.

Step #3. Add Unique Contents

You need to update your blog with unique content regularly.

By saying so, I mean that you need to post an article onto your blog every 2 to 3 days, and make sure that the article that you put up is unique to your blog.

The reason is because the search engines favor unique contents – And they reward blogs with unique contents by ranking them high up in the search engine listings (with allows maximum visibility, and as such it will be able to receive free traffic from the search engines).

Step #4. Apply For A Google Adsense Account

If you do not already have a Google Adsense account, you will need to apply for one (You can apply it at http://adsense.google.com).

You may want to make sure that, prior to applying for one, your blog already has approximately 15 to 20 articles, as having very little content in your blog will result in your new Google Adsense account application being rejected.

Step #5. Place Google Adsense Ads On Your Blog

After your new Google Adsense account application has been approved, what you need to do next is to place some Adsense ads on your blog.

For tips on how you can place your Adsense ads in such a way that it will maximize your earnings, you can check out a post which I’ve written titled “Multiply Your Google Adsense Income With 4 Adsense Tips & Tricks”.

Step #6. Get Traffic To Your Blog

Traffic is the heartbeat of every website – No matter how professional looking your website is, or how informational and beneficial it is to your intended audience, if no one knows about it, then your website is deem useless. The same goes for a blog.

Therefore, you need to drive traffic to it – I am not talking about normal traffic, but targeted traffic (it’s no point getting people who are not interested in your blog to visit it, as they are not going to click on any of your ads).

There are many different ways you can use to drive hordes of targeted traffic to your blog (both paid, as well as free traffic generation methods) – Some of which include Pay Per Click Search Engine Marketing, Article Marketing, Forum Marketing, Email Marketing, and the list goes on.

There you have it – I have just highlighted 6 simple steps on how you can create a profitable Adsense blog.

What you need to do now is to take consistent action and update your blog regularly (as mentioned earlier, you need to update it with a new post every 2 to 3 days), and also make use of some of the traffic generation strategies (which I have highlighted in Step #6) to drive traffic to it.

Social bookmarking and social networking – Aren’t they the same?

This is what most people tell me – Especially people who are new to social media. Other than the fact that both of them start with the word “social”, they are two completely different things.

What I am going to talk about in this post is to give you a better understanding of what both of them are about (in layman terms) so that it is easier for you to understand (especially if you are a new to social media).

Social Bookmarking

Let me first talk about social bookmarking.

Social bookmarking is where people come together to share websites, webpages, or news articles where they find interesting, newsworthy, or they think that the community would be interested to know.

Some examples of social bookmarking sites are the all popular Digg, Propeller, Delicious and Stumbleupon – Where people get together and share their favorite websites or webpages. These sites are free to sign up (in fact it takes less than 5 minutes to sign up for one) and you can start adding sites immediately upon signing up.

Marketers also make use of these social bookmarking platforms as one of the means to drive traffic to their websites – If the website is interesting enough, this method of traffic generation can help drive massive volumes of traffic to their website.

Social Networking

Think of social networking sites like social functions you go to, where you mix around with people who has similar interests as you.

These social networking sites exist to allow like-minded people (from all over the world) to get together in one single place to interact – All you need to do is to sign up for it, create a simple profile (where you are required to fill in some personal information, as well as specifying your hobbies, interests, favorite TV shows, movies, songs, etc.), provide a photograph of yourself, and you are ready to go.

With these social networking sites, you are able to search for people with similar interests and hobbies as you and make friends with them.

Examples of social networking sites are Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace.

Marketers are also making use of these social networking sites to find prospective customers, and if used correctly (what I mean by using these social networking sites correctly is to use them to genuinely help prospective customers with whatever problems that they have with a mix of free information and product recommendations, instead of just spamming them with product promotions) these sites can help generate huge amounts of incomes.

I hope with the article above, you now have a better understanding of what social bookmarking and social network are about – as well as the differences between each of them.

Email marketing is one of the most effective online marketing strategies and it is also one of the most commonly discussed marketing strategies.

Although you may need to put in some effort to create an attractive “bait” (to offer to your visitors as an incentive for parting their first name and email address), put up that highly convertible landing page, and also putting in the time and effort to build up a rapport with your subscribers – The benefits that you will be able to get once you have built up a highly responsive list is numerous.

In this article, I am going to share with you 3 biggest advantages to email marketing.

1. Get Repeated Traffic To Your Website

Anyone who has his/her own website will know how hard it is to generate new visitors to visit your websites every single day.

If you have not noticed, most of the high traffic websites have such high levels of traffic not because of new visits, but recurring visits – From people who have visited those websites, found it interesting, bookmarked it and visit it on an occasional basis.

You can, in fact, get repeated traffic to your website with email marketing – In that you can notify your subscribers whenever you have added a new article to your website.

Whenever you add a new article to your website, you can send them a short email giving them a brief introduction on what the article is about, followed by a link to your website where they can visit to read the entire article in full.

By doing so, you will definitely be able to get lots of repeated traffic to your website – Provided you have built a good rapport with your subscribers, and you give them what they want to read about (you can find out by simply asking them).

2. Get Repeated Sales

Once you have built up the rapport with your subscribers (by interacting with them and helping them out with questions that they have), you will have the power to get them to do whatever you ask them to – And that includes clicking on your affiliate link to get a product that you have just recommended.

There is no better way to making money as fast as selling a product to your subscribers.

However, in order for this to happen, you need to make sure that the products you recommend are indeed useful (and not some sort of junk) that will definitely benefit your subscribers and help them with their problems (which you need to find out by asking them).

Also, you want to make sure that you do not sell a product to your subscribers every single day – By doing so will only turn them off and eventually unsubscribe from your list.

What you can do is to have a mix of informational emails and promotional emails – In a ratio of 5:1 – In that, for every 5 informational emails you send out, you send out 1 promotional email.

3. Fast Response

Other than using Pay Per Click, email marketing is the next fastest way to drive traffic to your website, or product sales.

I have seen traffic to my website doubled (sometimes even tripled) 10 to 15 minutes after my email has been sent out to my subscribers.

The above are 3 of the biggest advantages of email marketing. Do you already have your own email marketing list? If not, it is now the perfect time to build one up…

There are many different ways you can use to encourage blog comments, and in this post, I am going to share with you 4 of the most popular methods you can use to encourage interactivity on your blog.

Most of the times, people like to be told what to do. If you want them to leave their comments after reading your blog post, end it with something like:

“Do you find this blog post useful/interesting? Tell me what you think by leaving a comment in the comment box below”

By saying the above, make sure that your comment box can be found immediately after your blog post – So as to make it convenient for your visitors to leave you a comment.

2. Don’t Include Everything

If you have included everything there is to say about a particular topic that you are writing on, then there’s pretty much nothing that anyone can add on – And this could be one of the reason why your visitors leave after reading your posts.

You might want to deliberately leave one to two points out and you can end your post with something like:

“The above are just what I have thought of off the top of my head. Are there anything I have left out or is there anything that I have not mentioned above that you would like to add on?

Feel free to add on by entering them in the comments box below…”

3. Open Ended Posts

I am sure that there are times where encounter situations where you see some controversial discussions going on in the niche topic where your blog is about.

What you want to do here is to create a blog post to discuss about it – Where in your post you give your personal opinion on what you think pertaining to the subject matter.

At the end of the post, you can invite interactivity by saying something like:

“Do you agree with my points/opinions? I would love to hear about your thoughts about this subject matter…”

By doing so would definitely help trigger interactivity on your blog.

4. Reward Active Visitors

Finally, you may want to hold a competition where you reward the most active blog readers.

For example, you may wish to hold a month-long campaign where, at the end of the month, you will reward the top 3 most active readers with a digital ebook that you have just written where, inside the ebook, they will discover solutions to the most nail biting problems in the niche that your blog is about (and you know that your readers would definitely want to know the solutions to these problems).

By doing so would definitely encourage your blog readers to actively participate in your blog.

The above are just 4 different tips that you can use to encourage blog comments from your readers.

Are there other ways to encourage blog comments that you have in mind which I did not include in the article above? Feel free to share with the community by sharing your knowledge in the comments box below…

The reason why this article was written was because, from my observations, it seems to me that many affiliates have the impression that the commission levels that is being paid out by both of these networks are the same.

However, in actual fact, they are not, and what I am going to do in this article is to point out to you the differences in commissions between the both Amazon.com as well as Amazon.co.uk.

Amazon.com

Let me first talk about the commission that is paid out to the associates.

There are basically 2 types of fee structures available – And they are “Classic” and “Performance” (you can choose the type of fee structure you prefer from under “Account Settings”, followed by “Change Your Fee Structure”)

For the “Classic” plan, you will receive a flat 4% commission regardless of how many items you manage to successfully sell (as an affiliate) in a single month.

However, for the “Performance” plan, you will receive a commission from between 4% and 8.5% (excluding electronic products, where you will receive a flat 4% commission), depending on the number of items you successfully sell in a single month – The more items you sell, the higher the commissions you will receive.

Commissions are issued on a Net60 basis – What this means is that for commissions earned in the month of March, you will only receive your paycheck at the end of May.

Amazon.co.uk

Let us now move on to talk about the commission that is paid out to the associates in Amazon.co.uk.

There are no “Classic” and “Performance” plans available. in Amazon UK, the commission levels are not only capped at 4%, but it is also capped at a maximum of £7.00 per product which you sell (as an affiliate).

What this means is that, even though you manage to successfully promote (and sell) a product that costs £300.00, and even though at 4% commission (for every product sale) you will receive £12.00 – You will only receive £7.00 in this case, as commission is capped at £7.00.

In terms of the issuance of commissions, it is the same as Amazon.com, where commissions are issued on a Net60 basis.

I hope that, with the above article, it will give you a better understanding as to the differences with the commission structures between Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.

If you would like your website to be ranked well in the search engine for the various key phrases that you would like to target (and receive massive volumes of targeted traffic for free), you need to optimize your site for the search engines – Doing what is known by Search Engine Optimization (SEO for short).

There are 2 broad categories as far as Search Engine Optimizing a site is concerned – And they are Onsite, as well as Offsite SEO.

In this article, I am going to share with you the differences between these 2, as well as what you need to do for each of them.

Onsite SEO

Let me first start off with onsite SEO – Which basically means things that you have to do on your website in order for it to be ranked well in the search engines.

Some of what you need to do would include:

Proper Keyword Usage
For every article that you have in your website, you need to make sure that it is optimized for a particular key phrase (that you intend to rank well for in the search engines).

You need to sprinkle this particular key phrase throughout the entire article – What I would recommend is that you mention that particular key phrase once in the introductory paragraph, twice to thrice in the article body, and once in the conclusion.

Also, you want to make sure that the title of your article contains the key phrase which you would like the search engine to rank your article well for.

Privacy Policy, Disclosure Policy & About Pages

From what I have noticed, websites with a Privacy Policy page, Disclosure Policy page, as well as an About pages tend to rank better compared to sites that does not have them.

Do not fret if you do not know how to create your own Privacy Policy and Disclosure Policy pages – There are templates available which you can copy-and-paste.

As for your About page – It is basically a page where you tell your website visitors about what your website is all about – Such as why you set it up, what purpose does it serve, and what will they be able to discover in your website.

Avoid Content Duplication

Google loathes duplicated content. Therefore, what you need to do is to ensure that your entire website does not have it.

What this means that you should not have the same content on more than one page in your entire website.

Offsite SEO

Offsite SEO, as the name suggests, are factors outside your site that will determine your site’s ranking in the search engines.

While some of the factors are beyond your control as the webmaster, there is one thing you can do, and that is:

Getting Backlinks
Backlinks are generally links to your website from other websites. Generally, the more backlinks your site has, the more “important” the search engines they will deem your site is and the higher they will rank it in their search results.

However, that does not mean that you should go around spamming other peoples’ site with your links – You should only get backlinks from sites that are relevant to yours.

Other ways you can get these backlinks are through forums (where you can state your site’s link in the forum signature), social bookmarking (such as Delicious, Digg, Stumbleupon), and social networking sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, Myspace).

With the above article, I hope you now have a better idea on what onsite, as well as offsite SEO is, and that you now have a clearer idea on some of the things you can (and need to do) if you want your website to be ranked well in the search engine listings.

One of the best ways for you to be able to keep in touch with your website visitors is to capture their contact details (in particular, their first name and email address) when they first visit your website. Thereafter, you can follow-up with them through emails.

However, your visitors will be reluctant to give you their contact information (for fear that their inbox will get spammed) unless you give them a very strong reason why they should – And one way to do so is to offer something free (such as a free report) in exchange for this information.

Now that you have gotten their information, the next thing you need to do is to follow up with them via emails (sent using your autoresponder). So, the question that is being faced by many is “What should I write about in my initial autoresponder series?”

In this post, I am going to share with you how you can write a 12-part initial email series (that will be sent to your subscribers when they first opt-in).

Day #1: Give them the download link to the free report that they have opted-in for.

Day #2: Send them a friendly email to check with them whether or not they receive the download link, as well as whether or not they manage to download the report successfully.

Day #3: Introduce yourself briefly – Such as your experience level in the subject level that your website is about, along with how you can help them with any problems that they have (To show that you are credible, make sure you respond promptly to their questions).

Day #4: Share with them 1 single most important information about the subject area that you are in (it could be solution to their number #1 problem)

Day #5: Product Recommendation – Tell them that you have just come across this product that you found really useful and encourage them to check it out (Insert your affiliate link here)

Day #6: Briefly review the product – In terms of what this product can do for them, as well as some pros and cons about it (Insert your affiliate link here)

Day #7: Copy and paste 1 – 2 testimonials that fellow customers have submitted (you can find them from the product salesletter) and tell them that you could experience similar successes as well (Insert your affiliate link here)

Day #8: Another informational email here – Share with them another tip that is related to the niche that you are in.

Day #9: Find out from your subscribers what is their number #1 problem that they are facing (in the niche area that you are in) – With this information, you will know the exact problems your subscribers are facing, and you will be able to either create content or recommend products/services that will address these problems.

Day #10: Recommend another product/service – Highlight 1 single problem that the product will help solve and point them to the link where the product/service can be found (place your affiliate link here) that contains the exact solution to that 1 single problem.

Day #11: Do a brief review of the product – Highlighting some benefits, along with some pros and cons.

Day #12: Highlight 1 – 2 testimonials from fellow users’ of the product.

The above are some advises on how you could write your first autoresponder email series (that will be sent to your subscribers when they first opt-in to receive your free report).

As to the frequency in which you need to email them (in order to maintain contact with them), you need not send out an email to them every single day – You can send 1 email out to them every 2 to 3 days.

Two things that you will definitely need if you want to be recognized as “the expert” in the niche that you are in over time are – Domain name and web hosting.

A domain name is one where people enter into their web browsers to visit your website (it can either be .com, .net, .biz, .org, etc.) and web hosting is one where you store your website’s files in (so that whenever your visitors enter your website’s domain name, your entire website can be displayed on their computer).

Choosing the right domain name can, at times, be a very difficult task – Especially when most of the time the domain names you wish to purchase are already taken.

What I am going to share with you in this post are 4 tips that you can consider to help you brainstorm suitable domain names for your website.

1. Relevance

Make sure that the domain name that you are going to choose is related to the topic of your website.

The domain name that you eventually choose for your website should be such that, by simply looking at it, your visitors will be able to tell what contents will they be able to discover in your website.

2. Domain Endings .com, .net, .org etc. – Which Is Better?

Personally, I would go for domain names that end with a .com, with the reason being that most people remember domain names ending with .com.

If .com is taken, then I will go for .net – I will not opt for other domain endings.

3. Domain Name Lengths

Generally, the shorter the domain name, the better – As people are more likely to remember a short domain name rather than a long one.

In general, I would try to choose a domain name that is less than 35 characters in length (including the domain ending)

4. Word Separator – Hyphens or Underscore?

Most of the time, your domain name will consist of more than one single word.

In that case, you can either choose to separate each of these words either by using hyphens, underscores, or just simply join all the words together.

Unless your domain name consists of more than 4 words, I generally would recommend that you join all the words together, for the reason that when people remember domain names, they generally do not remember the hyphens that are separating each word.

Also, if your domain name contains too many hyphens (such as 4 hyphens or more), it will start to look unprofessional.

The above are 4 domain name tips that you should consider when it comes to brainstorming for a domain name for your website.

Everyone has been talking about making use of Twitter to reach out to more targeted audiences, and getting more customers using this extremely easy to use social networking platform, you need to use it the correct way in order to reap maximum benefits from it.

As with all marketing mediums, there are certain things you need to look out for (and make sure you do not make the same mistakes) to make sure that you get maximum results from your marketing efforts (and not seeing hard work going down the drain).

In this post, you will discover 3 Twitter don’ts that you must avoid at all costs if you want to have an effective marketing campaign using Twitter.

1. Unrelated/Poor Quality Content

People choose to follow you for one reason – And that reason is that they believe that you do have something that they are interested in (in the subject they are interested in).

If you want to retain your followers, make sure that you post only quality content (meaning, content that is related to the niche that you are in).

You can either write these content yourself, or you can post links to contents that you come across which you find interesting and think will benefit your followers.

2. Spamming Your Affiliate Links

Do not spam your Twitter posts with nothing but affiliate links to products and services that you are promoting. By doing so will result in your followers gradually unfollow you, simply because you are nothing but a spammer.

What you should do instead is to have a mix of good quality content along with product promotions – For example, you can post 3 to 4 good quality content to your Twitter post, followed by 1 product recommendation.

By doing so, your followers will be more receptive to your product recommendations – And hence are more willing to check out (and buy what you have recommended) rather than you flood your entire Twitter account with your affiliate links.

3. Non-Activity

As with all social networking sites, you need to participate frequently in order for your Twitter marketing efforts to be effectively.

On the average, I would recommend that you post a tweet every single day (or every alternate days).

On top of posting tweets to share contents or promote a product/service, you may also want to participate in ongoing discussions, or responding to your followers’ questions.
